Floral Findings - Majorca

Hello again! It feels like forever ago since I last posted and I'm super glad to be back (though, I don't deny how nice it was to have a rest). Luckily for you guys, I took a ridiculous amount of pictures (mainly due to the fact that I was testing out my new camera), as I will be away for about 3 weeks to go to Israel and I will still be unable to go back to my normal fashion-esque posts. For now here are the photos of different plant life I enjoyed in different points of my adventures:

I've never been one to know about flower names (or much about flowers in general), I'm more of the type to soak in the beauty and gain happiness that nature can surround us with such beautiful beings. Though, the reason I took this is because I thought it was quite pansy-like and it reminded me of my Dad's garden; everything kept spick and span with many pansies dotted around in just the right places.

On a journey up what seemed to be endless steps, the sun soon became a sour idea to me and I tried to force a positive outlook in my situation, I mean afterall, the townscape was thriving with beauty. Truth be told, I was just being a grumpy so-in-so like always. But I soon noticed the greenery I passed by somewhat resembled the sculptural plants that I used for inspiration in my third year art project and made me nostalgic of all that creativity filled stress that comes with such work and made me appreciate the solitude of my holiday even more.

The rest of these are merely things I admired the look of. The first picture I found to be cute mainly due to the fly resting upon the bunch of small flowers (I also admired the fantastic focus of my camera). The second picture -another pansy, of course- was taken due to almost fuchsia blue colour that lightens into a very light pink, I thought this to be amazing as it created an illusion of light pointing towards the middle. The third one was taken due to my confusion of what it was and my love for all things green and yellow.

See you soon and I hope you're having a swell time!

The swell time of summer

Hello there again! I have just completed a full week back at school and I only have one more to go until I leave for Majorca for a week! I'm unsure of how well I will be at blogging over the summer as I am away for most of it but hopefully I will at least post about it on here.

Flower crown - Primark
I've been so busy recently between school and everything, last night I went to see my school's show as my friends were in it. They were doing Grease this year, which was amazing (like all the shows my school does). I'm so lucky to go to a school with such talented (and just super nice) people; it's so nice to see the product of all their hard work, e.g. the school show, art exhibit, concerts etc!
Necklaces - charity shop and Not Posh
Today, it was very warm which made me feel very summery and girly, so this outfit was basically an output of how I was feeling. I spent my day outside having a lovely walk with my dog but ended up to be too warm (which I really was not prepared for, being too used to Scottish weather). I also went out to buy some essentials for my holiday, which was basically just a reminder for how soon it is!
Dress - Newlook, Tights - Primark, Socks - Primark
Jellies - Primark

I've been loving the jelly shoes trend going on at the moment for quite a while now, so I decided to stop fawning over them in the shops and finally buy a pair myself. The jelly shoes are really supportive and look super cute (especially with socks). There is something so wonderfully nostalgic about jelly shoes that you can't get with other footwear, and it makes me love them even more. I am aware however, that these may not be the best of quality as they are from Primark but they still tick all the boxes for me!

The tie-dye t-shirt I am wearing was made by my friend Hannah, she currently has a wee business going on wear she sells tie-dye items such as t-shirts, scrunchies and socks to raise money for her World Challenge in Cambodia. The facebook page is here if you want any more information about it all.
I hope you enjoyed viewing this post and I hope you have a swell week!

A casual failure of attempting "Soft Grunge"

Hello, so recently I've been loving a lot of the soft grunge posts (the fashion-esque posts, I try to stay clear from anything too frightening as the world of tumblr is definitely not to to be trusted all the time) and I was feeling inspired by it all so last Friday I decided to give it a go!
Bag - Quirky
Necklace - Newlook
Friday was my first day back at school, it was great to be back in a routine rather than waking up as late as possible without being woken up by the noise that is my family, though it is certainly tiring! Also, I'm in my fifth year of high school which means I've started studying my Highers (for all you english folk, that's the equivalent of your first year at college, basically...I think). So far there hasn't been a class of which I have not been reminded of how difficult higher is, which has successfully terrified me.

Tights - Charity Shop, Socks - H&M
After my first day back at the strange place we call "School", I went to go see a performance of Camp Rock: The Musical by a local youth theatre group. It was super good and made me reminisce of the days of Disney Channel (and my love for Demi Lovato). Also, sorry if my constant ramblings of disney fangirling annoys you all, I totally get why some of you guys may not be fond of it (but I will also think you are very strange).

T-shirt - Call Of The Wild, Top - Charity Shop, Skirt - Newlook, Creepers - Newlook

Bye all, I hope you are having a great week!

Having too much fun soaking up the sun

Today is/was one of those amazing warm summer days that make you want to go around gallivanting outside which is exactly what I did. I'm lucky enough to live in a wonderfully quiet suburb which is very appealing to quiet types like me who prefer to keep their adventures to themselves, or in my case with their pet dog. There is just something about the sunshine that brings such joy (or sunburn) to everyone, even the flying beasties of summertime didn't bother me!
how I feel about summer days
I was pretty adamant of making sure having a cycle was the first thing I did and I was glad I did! As I soared down the roads I felt such pride and independence (as well as the glistening sun on my face). I've always been one to have such ups and downs with cycling, but fortunately my family made sure that I would be back on my bike this summer! After the bike ride I had a well needed rest that consisted of journalling my experience, watching Orange Is The New Black and eating to my heart's content. Then I was soon to have a jaunt in the park with my dog (Jack).

T-shirt - Newlook, Dungarees - Newlook, Tights - Primark, Boots - Doc Marten

necessary photo to prove how sunny today was

It was splendid wandering around with my favourite canine friend, examining all the lovely flowers here and there and soaking up the sun. We spent about an hour at the park without even realising, I guess time flies by when having park wanders!

I hope you enjoyed this post, even though it pretty much consisted of me fangirling over summer and I hope you're having a swell time too!

Do not speak as loud as my heart

long-sleeved t-shirt - debenhams, sunglasses - Primark, necklace - Newlook

Hello again! Yesterday was really warm and being me I spent the morning inside which meant that I was really unprepared for the warm weather so I had to change my t-shirt while being outside. Later on in the day I went to see a movie called 'Edge of Tomorrow' which I think all in all was a good movie (but wasn't my favourite), I would say more but I would rather not spoil it for any of you guys. Also, I've finished my exams! I'm still not sure how to feel about it all, but I'm celebrating tonight with my family by having dinner out and I also dyed my hair this morning (well dip-dyed). I plan to spend the rest of my break watching as many tv shows as possible, so far I'm up to date on American Horror Story and Awkward. Hope you all are having a swell time!
